Chemical Composition of the Essential Oil of Thymus longicaulis C. Presl. subsp. longicaulis

In this study, the chemical composition of essential oils obtained from aerial parts Thymus longicaulis subsp. naturally grown in Turkey were analyzed by GC and GC-MS differences terms chemotaxonomy discussed. The main compounds T. 1,8-cineole (30.1%), linalool (18.0%), β-pinene (17.3%) (E)-β-ocimene (%12.6%) Hierarchical cluster analysis was performed examining oil studies 34 samples belonging to genus Thymus, including Sinop sample. results study discussed with other taxa genus.
